Use this 6-step formula to make easy scrapbook pagesHow to Make Easy Scrapbook Pages | Get It ScrappedDoris Sander’s “Here Come The Sun” is a page rich with layers and patterns. How to Make Easy Scrapbook Pages | Get It Scrapped

Here Comes the Sun by Doris Sander I Supplies: Patterned Paper: Crate Paper, Pink Paislee, My Mind’s Eye; Alphabet: American Crafts; Punches: Jenni Bowlin for Fiskars, Martha Stewart

How to make this layout

  1. Trim a piece of chevron print paper to 3″ x 12″ and adhere down the left side of the page.
  2. Trim a piece of paper to 8.5″ x 10″ to use as the photo mat. Mount a little crooked, flush with top edge, and leaving white space on right and below.
  3. Layer a 6″ x 4″ photo, two smaller rectangles of patterned paper, and a tag on the photo mat. Add a strip of patterned paper over the “seam” where the chevron print and mat meet.
  4. Trim the “bar code” strip from patterned paper and use for handwritten journaling. Mount at top, extending from beneath the chevron print.
  5. Embellish with a cluster at top right and a strip of handcut hearts at lower left — running over the seam where the chevron print and the mat meet. (See link for making folkart hearts below.)
  6. Add title.
